Welcome to Het Rustpunt
Welcome at Het Rustpunt.
Right in the historic heart of Ghent, a stone’s throw from the Gravensteen, lies Het Rustpunt: a unique place to stay in a former 17th-century Carmelite monastery. Behind its historic walls, you’ll find an oasis of peace and greenery, where tranquillity, simplicity and hospitality take centre stage.
Thanks to its central location, Het Rustpunt is the ideal base from which to explore the historic city centre, museums, shops and numerous restaurants. After a day in bustling Ghent, you can return to the serene atmosphere of the monastery.
You’ll stay in recently renovated rooms that combine contemporary comfort with the building’s authentic charm. Each room features a modern en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a desk. To preserve the tranquillity of this special place, the rooms have been deliberately kept simple and do not have a television.
At Het Rustpunt, you can also hire various function rooms, suitable for seminars, meetings, workshops, parties or gatherings. In addition, a varied programme of activities and retreats is organised on a regular basis.
Stroll through the centuries-old cloisters, enjoy the spacious monastery garden and experience the tranquillity that has characterised this place for generations. Het Rustpunt invites you to slow down for a while, recharge your batteries and fully enjoy a stay where history, comfort and tranquillity come together in perfect harmony.
