Stay in the Carmelite Monastery

Our cosy and modern guest rooms combine the authentic character of a historic monastery with contemporary comfort. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin, hairdryer and toiletries. You can also enjoy free Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

To preserve the serene atmosphere of the monastery, the rooms have been deliberately kept simple and do not include a television or fridge. However, the warm parquet flooring and the beautiful view of the courtyard garden ensure an extra comfortable and relaxing stay.

After a day in the bustling city centre of Ghent, you can completely unwind in our beautiful cloister garden: a hidden green oasis where tranquillity, nature and reflection take centre stage.

Practical information

• Check-in: at reception from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, on Saturdays from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, and on Sundays and public holidays from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon. 
• Check-in: rooms are available from 3.00 pm.
• Late check-in: arrival outside opening hours is possible using an access code. Please contact us in advance.
• Late check-out: late check-out is possible subject to an additional charge. Please contact us in advance. 
• Payment: on site by debit card or cash.
• Cancellation: free of charge up to 5 days before arrival.
• Parking: available at Burgstraat 46 for €12 per night (valid until 12.00 the following day).

• 12 double rooms with a double bed

• 9 twin rooms

• 1 triple room

In addition, on the estate you can also find the guest houses ‘De Kluis’, ‘Thérèse’ and ‘Het Achterhuis’.
